Building Update & Call to Action
Building is in full swing here at Tillamook County Habitat for Humanity. Josh, our newly hired construction manager has his feet fully immersed in all things Habitat including managing both our Home Build program as and our Ramps & Rails program.
With the Home Build build season nearing in a few short months for our two attached town-homes on 8th street, Josh is hoping to finish up the pending building projects he currently has in the hopper.
This is a call for action to all our hardworking Habitat Volunteers and friends who want to get involved in giving back this Holiday Season!

Project # 1 – Willie (Tillamook)
Willie is a veteran that served our country honorably is in need of a roof replacement and a new back porch roof. When meeting with Willie he expressed his gratitude knowing that he would never be able to afford these repair without Habitat’s help.
Where we are at in the project:
- Initial home visit has been done
- Oswego Roofing will do roof
- Josh is working on materials list for porch & will be the lead on the project
Next Steps:
Need 1-2 Building helpers for porch
Estimated Timeline:
1-4 Day Commitment
Complete by the end of December

Project #2 – John & Alice (Nehalem)
John is a veteran in need of a new front porch and a ramp to help him and his wife Alice safely get in and out of their home as well as a couple more maintenance issues on the house.
Where we are at in the project:
- Initial home visit has been done
- Josh has materials list & scope of work completed.
Next Steps:
Need 1-2 Support Workers
Need 1 Person to patch roof

1-7 Day Commitment
Complete by the end of December
Project #3 – Donna (Nehalem)
Donna is in need of a Ramps & Rails to be installed on her mobile home in order to help ensure her safety when entering and exiting her house.
Where we are at in the project:
- *Initial home visit has been done
- *Josh has materials list & scope of work completed.

Need 1 Lead for this project
Need 1 Support Worker

Project #4 – Virgil (Wheeler)
Virgil is in need of a Ramps & Rails to be installed as well his deck to be fixed so he is able to enjoy a sunny day from the comfort of his own home.

- Josh has materials list & scope of work completed.
Next Steps:
Need 1 Lead for this project
Need 2-3 Support Worker

Project #5 – William & Illa (Nehalem)
Virgil is in need of a Ramps & Rails to be installed as well his deck to be fixed so he is able to enjoy a sunny day from the comfort of his own home.
